University Park has been recognized annually since 2014 as a Firewise Communities USA site by the National Fire Protection Association.
Participation as a Firewise community helps reduce wildfire risk and may qualify homeowners for insurance premium discounts. Homeowners should consult their insurance carrier and may request a current Firewise renewal certificate if needed.
Once available, dates and registration details will be distributed through official communications and posted on the Dorman homeowner portal.
Registration is required to participate in the Colorado Springs Fire Department chipping program. Unregistered piles will not be chipped.
Chipping requirements typically include:
Please note: Chipping events are coordinated through the Colorado Springs Fire Department. While the HOA works closely with CSFD, this is a CSFD sponsored program based on equipment and personnel availability. The HOA cannot guarantee service dates.
